As part of the development of our future sports leaders, Year 5 took part in a Mini Match Officials Afternoon, where they developed their understanding of how to be successful referees by learning the rules of different sports and the importance of fairness, respect and good sportsmanship. The children were highly engaged throughout the session and showed great enthusiasm for the challenges presented to them. The informative and interactive presentation delivered at the start of the afternoon was excellent, providing the pupils with valuable knowledge and opportunities to think critically about decision-making in sport. A fantastic time was had by all, and the children left feeling inspired and confident in their new roles as match officials.
